The CMIE Healthcare Innovation Bootcamp on Newborn Care, conducted from 6th to 8th November 2023, signifies a pivotal advancement in neonatal innovation, uniting experts and healthcare innovators for collaborative efforts in elevating newborn care, jointly organized by CMIE and the Department of Paediatrics at AIIMS, New Delhi, this transformative event aimed at fostering collaboration, learning, and exploration in newborn care.

Industry-leading experts and clinicians covered topics such as Neonatal Resuscitation, Product Development, Digital Innovation, and Regulatory Insights, offering a comprehensive learning experience. Participants connected with peers, industry experts, and innovators, clinicians, and academicians fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange.

Clinical visits to AIIMS Mother and Child and Kasturba Hospital, coupled with clinical discussions and case studies, provided practical scenarios and solutions, enriching the learning experience. An insightful session on the Investor’s Perspective shed light on the crucial aspect of financial support, adding a practical dimension to the innovation journey.

The Interaction with Director of AIIMS (Feedback/ Collaboration) empowered participants with deep technical insights into critical aspects such as validation, gold standards, industry-academia collaboration, needs assessments, feedback mechanisms, and innovation scope analysis. This technical empowerment aimed at advancing innovations and transforming neonatal care, ensuring participants are well-equipped for healthcare excellence.

Upon reflection, the Bootcamp on Newborn Care has illuminated a promising future for innovation in neonatology. The connections forged, the knowledge acquired, and the collaborative spirit exhibited during the event lay the foundation for groundbreaking advancements in healthcare.
